Welcome to an interactive developement process for using mobile phone platforms for enhacing education in Ghana. This is in fuilfilment of my MSc. ICT final thesis which is carefully chosen to see its reality to enhance learning in Ghana.

The key element in this methodology is your willingness to make suggestions and comments, etc.as  to how the final product should be. Your position as an educationist, learner, or parent is very significant and should be specified when your make your comments or suggestions.

Even in the urban areas, not to talk about the rural areas, some learners travel quite a distance from their immediate neighbourhoods to attend “good schools”.  With the present technological advancements, it is about time our learners in Ghana are tutored via mobile learning.

The resources of astute educators are being hereby sought in a collaborative endeavour so that a common pool of resources can be made and distributed throughout the country via mobile access.

This phase of this project is seeking input for development which will  be based on  user comments and viewpoints, both in terms of educational content, media format, organisation, and interface.

Your suggestions are invited for content develpment for JHS and SHS in such area as, but not limited to:

1.  Collaborative content development by interested content providers(educationist, etc.) for courses of interest. These suggestions may include content provision for subjects of interest and justifications for the proposal, and delivery media type (text, audio, video), and  also how to collaborativesly censor of content on the platform to ensure that they meet the standards of education in Ghana.  Also relevant are benefits expected by content providers(if any)

2. Expectations of interested content users(educationist, pupils, students, parents). This may include subjects of interest, media type (text, audio, video) which must be matched by users readiness to acquire the mobile phone platforms that can deliver their media types. Also indications of readiness to pay for the service are welcome.

3. Sponsorships are most needed.

A prototype will be started and improved upon your comments and suggestions. The target is to achieve a design based on your participation.

It will become a finished product after you the end users, both from the perspective of content providers and content users, agree that the site is usable and has the relevant educational contents which can be relied upon by users.

Please keep visiting and assist in this effort. There are pupils and students out there who do not have teachers. They can benefit from the collaborative effort of teachers elsewhere through this platform being researched and developed together with you.
